Optimal Movement’s customized and integrated training services incorporate hands-on fascia work that addresses the causes of pain in specific parts of the body, increases flexibility and readies clients for exercise that is not limited by pain or restricted motion. This helps clients meet their individual needs and goals by:

  • Averting further injuries prior to starting a fitness program by first understanding why certain muscles are weak (e.g. abdominals) and other tight or restricted muscles (e.g. neck);
  • Preventing muscle aches and pains;
  • Achieving more efficient and superior movement in a sport (e.g. golf);
  • Improving flexibility in assessed areas to help correct muscle imbalances and improve posture;
  • Cultivating a long, slow and even exhalation to augment breathing and coordination;
  • Strengthening weak muscles;
  • Tuning and restoring the body by learning a functional, whole-body fitness programs;
  • Learning a variety of mindful movements to enhance neuromuscular coordination and connectedness;
  • Mobilizing each client’s center-of-gravity with body integrating movements;
  • Developing spatial versatility through a variety of movement scales;
  • Improving True Coordination. This is a mindful movement process that targets hand/eye coordination, moving/breathing coordination, upper/lower body coordination, whole body coordination.
